Our new Grandaughter PDF Print E-mail

Friday, 07 September 2007

In the less than a year, we have all been blessed with another new arrival from Jon and Erin Lewis. Alexandria Mae was born on September 6 at 4:09AM. She weighed in at 7 lbs 1 oz and was 19 inches long. Erin and baby girl are all doing well and came from the hospital the next day. Alex's nearly one year old big brother David welcomed her into the world by taking her pacifier out of her mouth.

We rejoice and are thankful for this new blessing and bundle of joy in our lives.

Tuesday, 24 October 2006

Election time is almost here which means our Susan King will be putting on a last minute push in her campaign to become a member of the Texas Legislature.  She held a large rally on the Old Courthoue Lawn in Abilene this afternoon, with the feature speaker Kay Bailey Hutcheson, Senator from Texas.

The Lewises from Houston will depart on November 3 for Abilene to help in the last minute campaign chores, with Martha Lewis taking delectable food goodies for the victory celebration on November 7.

All of you interested in her being elected to this important effort on Susan's part are urged to communicate your best wishes and encouragement to her.

Allen and Martha Lewis, proud parents!!

Good guys finish first! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Allen L. Lewis

Editors Note:   The following was submitted from a news source that has often been incapable of discerning fact from fiction. Please read with caution.

 Dear Readers,

You may, by this time, have read a total erroneous account of a great golf match between members of the Lewis family.  This is a report of what actually happened. On this past Wednesday afternoon, on a beautiful Autumn day, a dauntless team of Jon Lewis and his Grandpa Allen, played 18 holes of brilliant match play golf, as a TEAM.  It was a fine blend of drinving the ball from the tee by Jon and pin-point accurate iron play by Grandpa.

The final score was a victory, 2-1 over Andrew and Larry Lewis.  The scoring refers to the condition of the Good Guys being ahead by 2 holes with only one hole to play. At the end of the match, the Good Guys were prepared to hear a large number of alibis by the losers, in their vain attempt to explain the loss.  We were not disappointed.

Expert opinion by knowledgable golfers in the area is that this excellent team of Jon and Grandpa should produce many more of these sterling victories.

If more details about this match are desired, please contact either one of the Good Guys for information.
